I've got a 96 7.3. All stock besides 4 inch exhaust and aftermarket filter. Sometimes when its warmed up the idle will slightly go up then down. Kinda sound like when you turn AC on and off it will drop idle a little. But I noticed it most when it warm like sitting at a red light. It don't do it while I'm driving. Is this normal?

do you have your heater switch on defrost? defrost will make your AC cycle. someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Nope. It will just do it occasionally. I'll check and make sure nothings on.

It actually revs up a little then comes down, then revs a little and comes Down. Its just enough to see it move the rpm hand a little.

Mine did that for awhile, and it went away... now it came back a few days ago, When ever i plugged my cell phone charger into the ac outlet it would drop real low in rpm (truck still running) then go back to normal, about 45 seconds later it would do it again... When i removed the cell phone charger it went away.

Ya I'm just gonna look the other way until it breaks. But I don't think its a major problem because when I bought it I drove it 4 hrs from Ohio to Knoxville, then drove it another 4hrs round trip and drive it everyday. If there was something wrong it would have broke by now.

What I was asking was is you heater switch set on defrost, not so much if you have the fan switch on? the reason I ask my 1999 Ford contour will cycle the AC pump on and off if the switch is on defrost. It is getting real bad now that I have to keep the switch on the off position to keep the rpm's from going up and down even when I am driving now. Something is wrong but I have not had time to look at it. Try putting your defrost switch in the "OFF" position and see if it keeps doing it and let us know.

It does it even with nothing on. No lights, no AC, nor radio, nothing plugged in. Not sure what it is. I can't post videos or I would. But you barely hear it in the video. It is very slight. I'm probably over thinking it.
